This year we went to Walt Disney World, but my husband was not able to attend. There are some items that you want to share with your loved ones, you want to see the look on your daughters face as she meets one of the princesses, you want to see the glow of the electric light parade in her eye. While movies will show it to you, it isn't the same as being there in real time. Inside of the parks they now have WiFi. So I had the idea WHY NOT FACETIME DURING THESE EVENTS? So that is what we did. I grabbed a good spot on the ground and sat next to my daughter and dialed up my husband during the parade. He was able to watch it with us and ask Lili questions while the parade went past. She loved being able to tell daddy what she was thinking and he got to see that magical shimmer in her eye.
If you have ever been to Walt Disney World, you know this is a question you will ask yourself each time you leave a ride. The problem is, the majority of strollers look the same! They fall into a few colors: Red. Black, Blue. Because of the sheer number of strollers at the parks, there are designated areas to drop off your stroller near each ride (otherwise you would be tripping over them). There are cast members who then keep that area maintained and structure it so that they have some order (making it easier to drop another one off). The problem is when you come to get your stroller it isn't where you left it. At that point the hunt is on. I was determined to not let this happen to me. So I created a attachment for the stroller to be above it. My daughter and I made it into a craft project. We used a flower and I then wrapped the stem in some fun fabric that we found. I wanted a stem that was bendable so that I wouldn't have it in the way while pushing the stroller. Next time I would make something a little taller. It would be even easier.
I also follow the same practice with me car in everyday life :) (a little Mickey can go a long way to making your day a little brighter:)) Ah, back from vacation and coming down off of the Disney high! The pixie dust keeps your spirit lifted for a little while once you get home :) While I will post more about the trip and the magic bands I wanted to get a little sale information out there. The Disney Store is having a 25% off everything sale right now. Great time to pick up some gifts for the holidays (I am personally determined to be finished by Thanksgiving this year!). The discount is on-top of other sales in the store. So you can get free shipping, free personalization, and the nightwear on sale. I was able to get the Christmas personalized nightgown for my daughter for only $15! Check it out: The Disney Store Hurry because it ends this weekend!
