So today the round 2 application started (at 3pm) for the Disney Parks Moms Panel. There were 9 questions and 1 video and lots of word and length requirements. My application is in, and I was who I am and that is all I can be :) Now it is up to Disney to go through all the round 2 to get to the final selections for the round 3 phone interview. Luckily I am in Disney World starting in a few days so I wont think about it :) Heck I didn't think I made it to round 2 and got the happy surprise letter on Friday. Now it is time for sleep. I wanted to make sure this was done since tomorrow I have lots to do for work, and who can forget it is my husbands birthday!
Yesterday I was sitting on the train traveling back from my work visit up north and I was reading through my emails. I had entered into the Disney Parks Moms Panel competition back in September. I knew the emails were due out in October with the invites for Round 2 of the challenge. They had said that they might only notify those who made it, so when I didnt see a email earlier I asumed that I didnt make it any farther into it. Well back to the train ride....
CONGRATULATIONS, you have made it to round 2! WOOOO HOOO! I read online that in prior years there were 20K applicants, and 200 - 400 make it to round 2. Those of you who have known me since I was a child will know how much I love Disney. Now on Monday night I will need to log back in and see the essay questions and a video. I will have to be quick since I am leaving on Wednesday for Disney! Wish me luck! Today is packing day. For some reason in October, I end up traveling for work right before I leave for a family vacation (this is the second year in a row). Today I packed for not only my work trip, but the Disney vacation. The only issue we have is the temperature. It is October, so the temperatures can vary from Chilly to down right Hot! So i made sure that we have have a bit of everything (and my purex all in one sheets to wash cloths if needed). Lili told me I had to make sure that her princess gown and gloves were packed! She told me that Marie and Nemo needed to come on vacation, because that is where they came from and need to visit home :)
Tomorrow we will be 14 days from vacation, and I had a major decision to make. Every time we travel do Disney, I know that we will purchase a few official pictures from them. And they are not cheap. Normally $15 a photo, and yes I take lots of photos but when I go online, they photos they have taken and loaded onto my Disney photos account, they just look better. They is a service that Disney offers, but it has to be purchased 14 days prior to arrival. You can get a unlimited photopass or photopass + from them. With the photopass, all photos they take of you you get. With photopass + you get all the photos from the rides and the magic shots (where they put the characters in with you in the pictures). The only issue is the cost $99 or $149.
I did end up breaking down and purchased the phtopass+. I realized this will allow us to have all the photos and I don't need to worry about my camera and can actually be in the photos with Lili. She is only young once and she |
